VELUPILLAI & ASSOCIATES was established on 1st February, 2002 at Melaka and prior to that the firm was operating under the style and name of JASWANT SINGH & ASSOCIATES in the Central and Southern Region of Peninsular Malaysia.

Our motto has always been governed by a strong sense of commitment to the profession and we have from time to time expanded our areas of practice to meet the needs of developing industries and technologies.

We are involved in most discipline of the law, in particular, banking, finance and securities; company and commercial law; corporate law; civil and commercial litigation; bankruptcy and insolvency; building and construction law; conveyancing and property law; shipping and admiralty law; tax practice and planning; probate and administration of states; employment law; immigration matters; family law; insurance law; and vehicle and industrial accidents claims.

VELUPILLAI & ASSOCIATES work is both domestic and international, having strong links with professional and business organisations in leading commercial centres around the world and we have established strong relationships with law Firms and Financial Institutions in Labuan, Singapore, Switzerland, Australia and Mackenzie & White in New York, USA, to name a few.

In the interim we have 2 lawyers, and approximately 4 clerical staff and 5 supporting staff. Our supporting staff are carefully selected so as to meet the demands of our esteemed clienteles. Besides being fluent in English, Malay, and Tamil, the main languages used in Malaysia, we have lawyers who are proficient in Bahasa Indonesia. Our partners do travel regularly to Europe, Australia and, if necessary, to any other parts of the world to stay ahead of competition as well as to meet the increasing demands of the profession.
